Treating and Beating Fibromyalgia 6th edition release date set for later this month

It’s not about suppressing symptoms….it’s about finding and fixing the underlying causes of your symptoms.

Another Potential Underlying Cause of Fibromyalgia Symptoms-Mold

(excerpt from Treating and Beating Fibromyalgia 6th edition)

In the previous chapters I’ve linked stress, poor sleep, adrenal fatigue, nutritional deficiencies, poor diet, low thyroid, food allergies, leaky gut, and other triggers as the causes for the symptoms common in fibromyalgia.

On my Super Healthy Human podcast, I had the chance to interview Dr. Neil Nathan, author of several books including “Toxic, Heal Your Body” and “Healing is Possible.”

Check Out Dr. Nathan’s Interview Here:

I asked Dr. Nathan if he thought, as I did, that fibromyalgia patients were becoming even more complex and harder to treat. He replied, “that yes without a doubt those with fibromyalgia were becoming more complex.” When asked why, he shared that in the past focusing on sleep, hormone and nutritional deficiencies often took care of most fibro symptoms. Now, there are new triggers, in particular, mold toxins and Lyme disease that seem to be part of every new fibromyalgia case.

I couldn’t have agreed with him more. Our interview validated my experience over the last few years, where mold toxins and Lyme seem to be trending up as triggers or major contributors to common fibromyalgia symptoms.

Fibromyalgia can be triggered by a traumatic experience such as a major injury, surgery, an acute infection (Lyme), toxins (mold) heavy metals, childbirth, or extreme emotional trauma such as divorce, a toxic work environment, financial struggles, or death of a loved one. Any of these stressors could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Multiple stressful triggers are more common than not.

These “triggers” may cause CDR to turn on. If CDR doesn’t turn off (becomes chronic), inflammation, pain, fatigue, brain fog, and other fibro related symptoms are created.

It is estimated that around 50% of the buildings and homes in the U.S. are water damaged enough to cause illness.
